A perched pond sits atop the west end of a very inflated Pu’u ‘O’o crater this morning, as USGS scientists continue to forecast what may be a major change in the eruption on the East rift zone. Almost the entire vent is now filled with lava… and nearly all the surface flow activity was found within a mile of the vent.
